I used regular long-grain rice despite adding a tad more water and extending cooking time to about Maybe a tablespoon tops. I used a pot with a TIGHT fitting lid. Wild rice and brown rice will require more time than white rice, for instance. Any variety can be cooked at either high or low You can open the pot with a quick pressure release if you like, but it really does benefit from a little resting time! Secure the lid with the release valve in its "Sealing" position.
