  1. Rinse and soak Dal for 45-50 minutes. Then drain off the water for Dal
  2. Add Dal, Salt, ginger and chillies with little water to a blender jat
  3. Blend it smooth with a consistency similar to dosa batter - Do not add more water after grinding.
  4. Heat the tawa on medium flame. - When it is hot sprinkle water and evaporate, rub the pan with kitchen towel.
  5. Pour 1 ladel of batter and spread it to make thin dosa.
  6. Sprinkle little oil towards the edges, flip and cook on the other side.
  7. Toast on low flam till it turns crispy.
  8. Serve with coconut chutney and mint chutney
