The ingredients needed to make Malpua:
  1. Take 1/2 tin (200 gram) Milkmaid :
  2. Get 1/2 cup (100 gram) Sooji -
  3. Take 6 tbsp (50 gram) Maida -
  4. Take (50 gram) Paneer -
  5. Take 2 cup Water : (2 cup = 300 ml)
  6. Prepare Ghee for frying
  7. Prepare 2 pinch baking powder
  8. Prepare Sugar Syrup :
  9. Prepare 4 cups Sugar :
  10. Take 4 cups Water : (1 cup = 150 ml)
  11. Get 10-12 strands Saffron -
  12. Take For garnishing
  13. Prepare few almonds and pistachio (thinly sliced)
Steps to make Malpua:
  1. Sugar Syrup
  2. Put Sugar and water in a pan and bring to a boil. Keep aside.
  3. Malpua - Combine Milkmaid, Sooji, Maida, Water and Baking Powder. Crumble Paneer very finely and add to the mixture. Beat well,, and keep aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Heat Ghee in a frying pan. Pour 1 tbsp (1 tbsp = 10 ml) of batter to make a small, flat malpua about 2 1/2"to 3" in diameter.
  5. Fry till both sides get evenly browned and the edges crisp.
  6. Remove and soak in syrup for 1 minute.
  7. Remove form syrup and garnish and serve hot.
