The ingredients needed to make Dal Makhani:
  1. Take 1 cup black gram pulses(head saboot)
  2. Get 1/4 cup Rajma
  3. Take 2 tbsp malai
  4. Prepare 1 chopped onion
  5. Make ready 2 chopped tomatoes
  6. Make ready 1 tbsp grated ginger
  7. Get 3 garlic cloves
  8. Take 2 tsp pure ghee
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

  11. Get 1 tsp red chilli powder
  12. Get 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  13. Make ready 1/4 tsp garam masala
  14. Prepare 1/4 tsp kasoori methi
  15. Take as needed Water
Instructions to make Dal Makhani:
  1. Wash the dal & rajma with fresh water & soak them for 3_ 4 hours.
  2. Put Dal & rajma in the cooker with chopped onions, tomatoes,grated ginger, salt & red chilli powder.Add 2 cup of water.
  3. Cover with lid & cook on high flame,After one whistle,slow down the flame & cook for 30 minutes.
  4. Open the lid after 30 minutes & check if everything is properly cooked or not.
  5. Now add 2 tbsp of malai in it & add 1 cup of water.Stir constantly.cook on slow flame for 10 minutes.Switch off the flame.
  6. In a pan,pour 2 TSP of pure ghee with cumin seeds,Cook till aroma smells away.
  7. Pour the cooked dal in the serving bowl & sprinkle the tadka,garam masala, coriander powder on it.
  8. Garnish with kasoori methi & serve hot with chapati or laccha Parantha.
