  1. Take 1 .Bread -4 slices(Remove the brown side and break it to pieces)

  3. Take 3 . Milk - 3/4 cup
  4. Make ready 4 . Milk powder - 2 tbsp
  5. Get 5 . Condensed milk - 1/4 cup
  6. Make ready 6 . Sugar - 5 tbspn
  7. Prepare 7 . Cardamom powder - 2 pinch
  8. Get 8 . Vanilla essence - 1/4 tspn
  9. Prepare 9 . Sugar - 3 tbsp (for making caramel)
  10. Prepare 10 . Clarified butter/ghee - 1/2 tspn (for greasing the pan)
Instructions to make Caramel bread pudding:
  1. Blend all the above ingredients, except 3 tbsp sugar and clarified butter/ghee, till well combined in a mixer. Keep it aside.
  2. Grease a bowl or cake tin with clarified butter/ghee and keep it ready.
  3. Heat a non stick pan over medium flame, add 3 tbspn sugar and cook till light golden brown. Pour this to the greased pan and spread all over.
  4. Pour the blended bread - egg mixture to this and cover it with aluminium foil.
  5. Steam it in a steamer, with enough water in it, for about 30 -35 minutes or till done.
  6. Check it by inserting tooth pick at the centre of the pudding, if it comes out clean, it is perfectly done.
  7. Remove it from steamer and leave it to cool for about half an hour. - You can refrigerate it for 15 minutes. Serve cooled.
